Brenda's story Here's my story. It's long. My husband and I were married June 1990. I conceived 6 weeks after being married. I found out quickly that I had hormonal imbalance because within 8 days of being pregnant (before a test- so I didn't have to obsess) I got horrifically sick. I threw up when a neighbor mowed his lawn. ANYTHING. It's called hyper emesis - excessive vomiting and dehydration. 24 hours a day, spitting, 30 days in the hospital on IV, acid reflux and more. You name it I was miserable for 16 weeks. I wanted to die. Then he kicked and I forgot it. Jacob was born 3 weeks early. When he was 8 mo. baby (miscarriage) #1 early on. At 11 month m/cy #2 at 9 weeks and finally when he was 14 months Lydia was conceived. Everything was tried but sick again. My husband was tired because each time I was sick even though we lost them and he took care of mom and children and a business. He agreed to having one more. After Lydia I had a loss at what was supposed to be 16 weeks but we found out that my hormones were so messed up that the baby had died at 10 weeks but I had not "rejected" him/her. I had a D&C after hounding from a doctor that was not my own and have regretted it since. The others I was able to birth as a natural progression. The D&C left me missing 2 hours of my life and nothing physical to mourn and say goodbye to. Then Emily came and with her the sickness, again. I began to study this (as I do anything of interest) and research about why this was going on. My sister called me Fertile Myrtle but I was sick of these numbers; my outcome wasn't as good as my numbers going in. In the fall of 97 I had 2 more miscarriages and then a friend told me about natural progesterone cream. I began to use and became pregnant with Benjamin who was born October 98, (His 4 day old picture is on the InfertilityWorkshop page) which wasn't a problem but this time, I didn't spot for weeks like with all the others, living in fear of when it would turn bright red. This time no sickness at all. No nausea girls, and it seemed too good to be true. I should say as a disclaimer that I cannot claim progesterone cream for reason but am allowed to say, without trouble, that I had not done anything different. Each year we were eating healthier but I didn't know about cleansing the liver and colon or hormonal herbs back then. Now my husband says we can have an army; God willing. I joined some other groups to try to help but realized many are not open to natural and decided to start a support group of my own in which I could research many types of hormonal balance and help women individually. I have since learned about the many dangers of hormonal prescriptions. Now I understand the power of what a change in diet and herbal alternatives can do, again God willing. I'm a zealous person when it comes to sharing good news. So that's my story and that's why I started a list also because of all I've learned about natural methods toward hormonal imbalance and infertility. Since my reading I found out so much about infertility and the reasons behind it. We have also had another baby girl in Dec, 2000. Since the beginning of InfertilityWorkshop in 1998 we have seen many women monthly becoming pregnant; all due to the help of The Lord and his wonderful natural laws of science. We have so many ways to try which many help you conceive naturally and to have an uneventful blessed pregnancy. Please join us and let's see if we can do anything to help you, too. Let's get going with this and fill up the maternity wards and showing others how to: Take the IN out of INfertility; Naturally. Your hostess, Brenda Albano |
